I had a couple of days off work last week so I decided to put them to good use. I managed to finish this quilt top and despite the fact there are millions of mistakes and seams not lining up I love it! It's very pink and cheerful... the pictures were taken in the dark though so they are rubbish!
Not sure how I'll get on quilting it because its quite big (the bed its on is king size) probably about a single bed size but that's something to worry about later :)
I've also been playing with some free motion applique type stuff and after ages of faffing have made it work ish... I think a lot more practice is needed but I'm glad I'm starting to get the hang of it. I hope to try free motion quilting as well eventually. Until then I'll continue to watch everyone else for inspiration!

I love free motion quilting, it was just a little tricky to get the hang of how big to make it. I started out really tiny and it took forever {looked cute though}, now I do a much larger version and it's much better! Can't wait to see it finished.
