Even though I haven't finished my last project (I've got lots of HST triangles but none are sewn together!) I thought I would start another :)
It's hopefully one day going to be a present, ideally for christmas so if I start it now there is a slight chance it will be finished in time. It's a quilt that I saw in this issue of Quick Quilts. However i've resized it a little so that it works with my layer cakes (well fingers crossed it will work anyway!) because the fabric I wanted to use was a layer cake and not fat quarters. So these are my test blocks....

(... ignore the fabric used and the fact that the fabric placement is all wrong! I just used scraps to test if the block would work in a different size)
I've also learnt that I will have to be very careful to make sure my cutting and seam allowances are accurate simply because there are so many seams! The whole quilt is possibly a little (interpretation: a lot!) advanced for me and I'm probably much more likely to just destroy all my nice fabric but I'm not very good at choosing simple things! I just see something I like and decide that is what I'm going to make without really thinking it through! Oh well I guess there is only one way to learn, right?!
