In a last ditch attempt to start the new year without quite so many WIPS I have actually done something this weekend! Of course the fact that I've got a little bit of time off work helps too :)
I finished sewing these hexies together while watching Santa Claus movie on Christmas Day.
I think these are going to become a pillow... I shall see...

And today I've been busy basting my Zig Zag quilt. Finally! I started to put the pieced backing together a few weeks ago and finished it last week.

I also bought a Kwik Klip to baste with. Having only really basted 2 quilts before and not really remembering the details of the basting process (apart from how long it takes and how I always feel too old to crawl around on the floor for hours!) I can't really say whether the Kwik Klip made it easier. I know I only have one sore finger rather that what I suspect would have been two without it! And it was easy enough to use so I will happily use it again next time! Anyone else use this tool for basting?
Not sure how well I did with the basting of this quilt... I put plenty of pins in there but not so sure I spaced them particularly well! Never mind though.
I hope to get this quilted this week before I go back to work and then maybe finished my Frenchie bag too...
I hope everyone is enjoying the festivities of the season!
I just got some of that hedgehog fabric. Isn't it just the cutest!
