I quite like the colours now that its all chopped up. I stuck to just cutting the leaves, and will be following Lynne's usful tip of measuring the circles once sewn together before cutting any more!

There is lots of pretty circles turning up in the flickr group.
After that I curled up on my bed flicked Pride and Prejudice on (the Jennifer Ehle & Colin Firth series not Keira Knightley version!) and started binding another quilt. And yes I do know Pride & Prejudice off by heart lol!

I am super slow at hand stitching so its not finished yet despite its small size! It was a lovely end to a hectic week. Hand sewing binding is my favourite part of quilting :)
I don't mind the hand sewing but I wouldn't say it is my favorite part. Usually by that point I just want it DONE! And since I am a slow hand sewer too I get frustrated because it seems to take forever!
ReplyDeleteLOL I love Pride and Prejudice - the Colin Firth vs! Love your QAL rings, I think these are my faves so far! Must be the lime! Nothing like a good tv session and some hand sewing of binding! Perfect!

ReplyDeleteI love doing the hand sewing too, although normally hand stitching is not my strength. It's surprisingly relaxing. Must try sharing it with Colin Firth though.

ReplyDeleteI love P&P too. love love love it. I try to read the book every year! You should read Pride & Prejudice and Zombies. It is a pretty funny book.
