2011

2011 is almost over so I thought I would have a quick look back over the last year...

Back in Jan I made this list of things I wanted to complete this year..

1) Complete Zig Zag WIP (just finishing the quilting off and binding :D)

Completed and gifted to my Sisters family.
2) Complete Wiscasset Quilt (for personal reasons this might go on the back burner for a while but I hope to manage to come back to it before the year is out)

Not touched this, but it is on my winter stitching list!
3) Turn Hedgie Hexies into a pillow (that I have in my head and now just need to find some way to put it into practice!)

Done and gifted
4) Use my Blush fabric to do Rachel's Pinwheel Sampler Quilt (I followed this along and wanted to make one since I saw it but have not yet had chance)

Have made progress.. all the blocks are now done I just need to join and quilt etc!
5) Make a xmas quilt for a family friend.

This didn't happen and not sure it will happen next year either... we shall see!
6) Make an xmas stocking for my niece!

Ended up making 3!
7) Have a go at Free Motion Quilting

Did quite a bit of this! Lots of FMQ in my Brit Quit Swap quilt, stippled a quilt for the first time and joined in with some of Free Motion Friday with Cindy.
8) Have a go at this

Didn't but my swap quilt was a similar sort of idea.
9) Make my mum a quilt.

Done
10) Finish my Amy Butler Frenchy bag.

Finished up and used!
11) Make more bags!

Next year maybe? I bought bag books, does that count?! :)
12) Finish WIP hushabye quilt (which is pieced front and back and just waiting to be basted)

Done and it went to my mum because she liked it... 2 birds one stone! :)

I am not sure how much free time I will have this year so keeping it brief...

3) I have just started learning to knit.. I want to progress with that

4) I have just started to attempt some dressmaking... progress with that too!

5) Finish my elephant embroidery

6) Just keep sewing, learning new things and being part of this friendly and creative online community!
