(all from Rachel's Pinwheel Sampler QAL)
These are the result of my FNSI last night. They don't look like they took hours do they!
I have also got all my HST's sorted and trimmed for the next 3 blocks they just need sewing together.
I remembered what I had learnt from my zigzag quilt and did not use the 7/8 calcs for my HST's. Instead I did them 4" and trimmed down after sewing together. It may take longer but my blocks are much more accurate :)
I'm really pleased with these so far, can't decide if my favourite is the top right hand side one or the bottom left. Which is your favourite?
Soon everyone else will be posting there progress... go have a look!

I love the top left one :o)
ReplyDeleteLove pin wheels full stop, and they all look good.. But if pushed, I think top left or bottom right. Or maybe .....
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blocks - they don't just take a few minutes to make, that's for sure - and you got such lovely points on yours - very nice! I prefer to make the blocks bigger too, then cut them down to size - my cutting is more accurate than my stitching, LOL! My favourite is the top left - I like that swirly look :)
ReplyDeletethey are great, so it's hard too choose :) I like the top left, too. I agree with Sandra that it looks swirly :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit on my blog, I tried to reply by email, but it proved impossible. Anyway, your comment reminded me that there hasn't been any giveaway on my blog yet, so no promises, but maybe closer to the end of summer...
I like the top left for its simplicity! What fabrics are you using?
ReplyDeletethey did turn out nice :) Kaye—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteI have a FQ bundle of Bliss... this makes me want to do pinwheels... they look great. :)
