You could easily be forgiven for thinking that I had completely forgotten about my BQS quilt and the looming deadline! However I have not forgotten!
I was super motivated at the beginning until I had to stop and wait for some fabric to come. By the time I had my hands on the fabric my sister and her family had descended on our household. They are staying with us until their house sale goes through. So as you can imagine things have become a little crazy in our house and life is not quite as peaceful as normal! I have managed to retain a small sewing place (ish!) but there are definitely more distractions around now! :)
I also came down with a delightful sore throat which has now progressed into an even lovelier cough.
But, enough whining! Today I did manage to drag myself out to buy some thread for my BQS quilt so that mixed with a few I already have I should be ready to roll at a moments notice!
(Don't worry partner it won't be a totally brown quilt!)
I managed to fuse down all my applique today too. So now all I have to do to finish is baste, stitch, more applique, more stitching, quilt, bind and label! Flipping heck I best get on that this week!! All the pretty fabulous finishes popping up in the Flickr group are making me feel very behind!
