I'll admit that when Cindy posted this weeks design I thought that it looked a little impossible! All those tiny sqwiggles!
But I gave it a go...
I am not thrilled with how it went but that is what practicing is all about right!? I kept sort of changing my mind whether I was supposed to be trying to interlock the rows or not. But the part I messed up most was the outside row. I should have traveled and then just done extras in the corners rather than doing squeezing squashed sqwiggles! Never mind!
Now go and check out how everyone else did!

It looks really good (and really hard to do, if this is a beginner pattern I dread to think what the advanced ones look like!) - well done!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! I struggled with the outer rows too!
ReplyDeleteManda,
ReplyDeleteYour FMQ is really nice. I did some traveling on the edges, but the thread really started piling up. Also, your Scruffily (Scruffly) Quilt from the previous post is terrific. And you quilted that whole thing?
I love it! You did such a good job!
ReplyDeleteGreat work - love the compressed then more open areas - gives great variety to the texture!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!!!
ReplyDeleteuhhh! you are a super star!
ReplyDeleteLovely even stitches, and lovely rounded curves. I think you did ok there, and the compressed bits also give a change in visual weight which looks great.
ReplyDeleteI think this is great - even the squidgy bits at the edge. I find panic sets in sometimes, and then it's goodnight Vienna
ReplyDeleteit looks great -IMHO! Your stomach lining looks nicely even, healthy and free of "ulcers" (unlike mine) :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like the way you fitted the pattern into the square rather than travelling :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same panic when I hit an edge! Ah, live and learn :) Your curves are nice and smooth and stitces just perfect and pretty. Well done!
